An easy way to make this is by resurrecting an old dress pattern. Re-imagine it in a sheer fabric that has good drape.
Save sewing time . . .
Keep the sewn and prominent edges raw like you see here. The lower hem on this dress is completely unfinished. Same goes for the neck edge.
The seams are beautiful in the way you see more of the color of the sheer fabric. Finish these as you see fit. Maybe a Hong Kong style or French seam detail along the shoulders and sides.
Wear it by layering the sheer dress over a silk nightgown that has a similar silhouette. Gorgeous!
